This is a Thanksgiving “must have” in our family. My brother-in-law is famous for eating this salad by the bowlful. Continue reading
This meal is full of chicken, beans and potatoes, but honestly I have mad it several times without the chicken and it is still good, filling and even easier on my budget. Continue reading

A friend shared this awesome crockpot pork roast recipe (see link above). We liked it so much, we had to find a way to make it food storageable. Drum roll, please…If you’re short on time or pork roast, you can now get the same tasty sauce in a skillet meal that cooks up in minutes. –Mellyn Continue reading
I adore bread — whether it’s a honey wheat loaf, garlic breadsticks or doughnuts. But even in the bread category, I have my favorites – and sweet rolls definitely top the list. These blueberry rolls are mildly sweet without being overpowering. Soft and delicious, they satisfy my need for comfort food every time! –Mellyn
Egg rolls are one of my favorite things — especially with sweet and sour sauce! But I hate paying such a high price for it at the grocery store. So we set out to create our own. We love the tangy flavor the pineapple adds to this sauce. Normally we serve it with egg rolls for dipping and spoon it over our rice for a sweet side. It’s also good brushed on chicken. –Mellyn Continue reading

I use my crock pot for more than just “cook all day” meals. It is very handy for canned meats and beans when I want to heat well and I don’t want to watch a pot. The flavors in this meal marry well and add variety to my food storage. Continue reading
Sweet, tangy and on the edge of too sour, this pie is my absolute favorite for Thanksgiving!
