This sauce is jam packed with protein and flavor. The ingredients are so basic that it is easy to always have the things I need on hand to make a quick and delicious meal.
- 4 cups Freeze Dried Sausage Crumbles
- ½ cup Dehydrated Onion
- 8 ounces Canned Mushroom Slices, drained
- 3 teaspoons Granulated Garlic
- 28 ounces Canned Diced Tomatoes, undrained
- 32 ounces Tomato Sauce
- 12 ounces Tomato Paste
- 2 Tablespoons Dried Basil
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Oregano
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Pepper
In a large bowl combine sausage crumbles and onion. Cover with water to hydrate completely; drain.Spoon sausage mixture into 5-quart or larger stock pot. Stir in remaining

Bring mixture just to a boil and then cover and simmer on low for 15-20 minutes. Serve over your favorite shaped pasta.
Note: If you are not serving a crowd you can easily freeze the leftovers for another day!
