Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

Dried apples go quickly in our house.  My kids will eat them by the handfuls. If I have a chance I love to make this for breakfast.  It has simple ingredients and it disappears almost as fast as the apples by themselves.

  • 2 cups Regular Rolled Oats
  • 3 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1/2 cup dried apple slices, placed in a blow and covered with water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Bring your water to a bowl.  Stir in Oats.  Cook and stir over medium-low heat for about 3 minutes.  Drain water off of the bowl of apple slices.  Stir apples, sugar and cinnamon into the cooked oats.  Remove from heat and spoon into serving dishes.
