Applesauce Crisp

Out of apples one afternoon, we discovered that applesauce makes a yummy substitute. It’s somewhere between traditional apple crisp and an apple ice cream topping. –Mellyn

  • 2 cups cinnamon applesauce
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Pour applesauce in a 9×9 pan.
  3. Combine brown sugar, oats, butter and cinnamon, and sprinkle over the applesauce.
  4. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until crisp is golden.
  5. Serve warm — preferably with ice cream :)
