Cinnamon Raisin French Toast Bake

Preparing this in the evening makes my morning easy and stress free. Just bake and serve!

  • 8 slices Whole Wheat Bread, cut into 1/2″ cubes
  • 1 cup Egg Powder
  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ½ cup Maple Syrup
  • 4 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 2 cups Raisins
Spray bottom of 13×9-inch (3-quart) baking dish with cooking spray. Arrange Bread Cubes and Raisins together in baking dish. Place Cinnamon Sticks on top of Bread. In large bowl, beat Egg Powder and Water until smooth; add Milk and Maple Syrup beat together with wire whisk. Pour over bread in baking dish. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.

Heat oven to 350°F. Uncover; bake 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown along edges. Let stand 7 to 10 minutes. Before serving remove Cinnamon Sticks. Serve with additional Maple Syrup if desired.

*Using fresh today? 8 large eggs work well in this recipe. Omit the entire 1 1/2 cups water from this recipe if using fresh eggs.
**Can you use powdered milk in this recipe? I sure did. I just mix up a large pitcher of it according to the directions on my package and keep it in the fridge. Then I add cup for cup the milk called in every recipe I cook.
